I wish I could help, but I keep having the same problem too. I have no
idea what site I visit that does it (if any), but sometimes my prefs
get changed to Japanese (or Chinese, or some such Asian font) and
sometimes (well today for the first time) it was Russian. Oddly I have
discovered that if you have an iGoogle page set up (which I do for my
home page) and you do searched from the Google search field located at
the top of that page, the results are fine. But if I go to Google.com
or use the Google search field built in to my browser (Firefox
2.0.0.16) then I see those odd language results. I am having this
problem on both my computer, both Macs. One's a MacBook Pro running
Leopard and one's a G4 MDD running Tiger.
If anyone has any insight to this I would love to know, because
changing your preferences to English while they are in Japanese is not
easy and I am growing tired of it.
